At this stage of my life, I have read probably every book I will ever get to read, listened to every music item I will ever get to listen to, and watched every DVD or Video I will ever get to watch. My main concern now is to insure that these do not end up in a land fill once someone needs to clean out my house after my demise. I'm healthy in mind and body at this moment, but at my age, who knows when this will change.
I'm an avid Mac user these days, and when I saw the Delicious Library product, saw this as a means of creating a catalog of my holdings in order to offer these for sale to someone who really wants it. I tried doing this manually on a keyboard, but it was just too much for me.
As my catalog grows, I want to offer these where they will attract buyers who will offer a reasonable price for items they would like to own. Every item I hold was once an item which I wanted to hold in my library, so surely there are people who discovering what I have to offer, will chose to buy those of interest to them, just as I did when I first obtained my holdings.
My interests are very broad, ranging from the humanities to the latest technologies, which I have kept right up to date with following my retirement from the IBM Corp. Research Division in April of 1990 here in San Jose, California.
I will place my holdings on the internet when I can do so, and also offer them for sale through the usual auction houses such as EBAY, Amazon, Alibris, Wig, and any others -- I welcome readers alerting me to places which I could add to this list. In the meantime, I will certainly welcome direct inquiries based on my holdings as shown on the website once it is created. I will identify this website here once it exists, and attempt to keep it up to date as things change.
